Call Management Services user guide

Voice Mail
Voice Mail beats any answering machine. It answers your phone even when your line is busy. Voice Mail automatically answers your calls and records messages when you are unavailable or on the phone, or when you decide not to take calls.

Voice Mail Plus
The perfect complement to Voice Mail, Voice Mail Plus service offers more ways to manage your calls: screen your messages as they come in, add up to 4 voice mailbox, save up to 50 messages, and more! Be notified by your pager when a message is deposited in your voice mailbox. Voice Mail is a prerequisite to Voice Mail Plus.

Call Display
Lets you see the number of the person calling before you answer the phone, so you can screen your calls.

Call Forwarding
Call Forwarding lets you redirect your calls to a number where you can be reached - even to your cell phone, pager or voice mail.

Call Return
Call Return monitors a busy line for thirty minutes. A special ring tells you when the line is free, and the number is automatically redialed when you lift the receiver.

Call Screen
Call Screen will divert up to 12 numbers you select to a polite recorded message stating you are unavailable. You can still receive calls from the people you want to hear from.

Call Trace
Call Trace can trace the telephone number of a harassing or threatening call. The number can be recorded in case you wish the police to take action against the caller.

Call Waiting
Don't worry about missing important calls. Call Waiting lets you put your caller on hold while you take a second call. A soft beep while you're on the line tells you someone else is trying to reach you !

Personalized Ring
Distinguish your calls from those of other household members. This service adds up to two additional telephone numbers to the same phone line, each with its own distinctive ring.

Intercommunication
This service transforms your telephone into an intercom, so you can talk to anyone in the house, or an outbuilding, without having to go looking for them.

Name Display
Displays the name as well as the number of the caller before you lift the receiver, so you can personalize your greeting. Call Display is a prerequisite for Name Display.

SimRing
SimRing (or Simultaneous Ringing service) allows up to two other numbers, such as a cell phone, pager, office line or another residential line, to ring at the same time as the primary telephone line.

Speed Calling
Speed Calling lets you program up to 8 local or long distance numbers with codes (2 to 9) that you can then dial instead of the whole number.

Three-Way Calling
A three-way conversation, without leaving home. With Three-Way Calling you can talk to two other people in two different places at the same time. You can plan work projects or make arrangements with friends or family.

Visual Call Waiting
This service lets you see the name and number of a second caller when you're already on the phone. This service is free if you already subscribe to Call Waiting, Call Display and Name Display.
