The project will be carried out in two phases. The first phase will create a second transmission channel and the next will consist in replacing old equipment with new generation technology. By the end of March, once the work is completed, the number of available connections will have doubled without truly affecting throughput.

We are therefore making important technological changes, earlier than anticipated, in order to better manage Internet traffic and, at the same time, better respond to the growing needs of our customers,” stated Sylvie Couture, Vice-President, Network Operations and Chief Technology Officer.
