Personalized Ring

Personalized Ring lets you know whom the call is for even before you lift the receiver. Your phone will emit a distinctive ring for each member of the household. This service saves you the trouble of rushing to answer a call that's not for you.

Personalized Ring adds up to two additional telephone numbers to your phone line, each with its own distinctive ring. Only one phone conversation can take place at a time however. Even though you have 2 or 3 telephone numbers, you only have one phone line.

You can have a directory listing for each additional number at the current monthly rate. Directory Assistance will not give out these numbers to a caller unless an additional listing is purchased.

If you are subscribed to Call Waiting, you can tell which number the incoming call is for. If the call is for your main number, you will hear a single "beep". You will hear 2 or 3 "beeps" if the call is for your 2 or 3 number.

Call Forwarding is an ideal complement to Personalized Ring, since you can "call forward" your main number as well as the other Personalized Ring numbers. The number to which you are forwarding your calls must be the same for both the main number and the Personalized Ring numbers.

You can also route the calls for your 2 and 3 numbers to your Télébec Voice Mail service. Just ask a Télébec Customer Service representative.
