With Name Display,
you can see the name of the person calling you before you answer the phone.
It's very handy when you don't recognize the number displayed. Knowing
who is on the line lets you screen your calls and decide to take the call
right away or, if you're busy, call back later. Call Display is a prerequisite
to Name Display. You need a display screen on your phone for this service
to work.
Some information may
not be displayed with Name Display. If the words "Unknown Number" appear on your screen, it means that the call was made through
the operator or from an area where Call Display technology is not available.
"Confidential Number" or "Private Call" means
that the caller has intentionally blocked the transmission of his number.
You might not be able to call back some of the telephone numbers displayed,
as the calls may come from phones that cannot receive calls, such as pay
phones. Name Display works with calls made from areas equipped with Call
Display technology.
