Order
With Call Waiting,
you won't miss a call because you're already on the line. A soft beep
will tell you when you have another call. You can then put your caller
hold while you answer the second call.
Call Waiting will
only work on one phone connected to your telephone line. It won't work
if two or more extension phones are being used at the same time or if
you've set up a Three-Way Call.
When Call Waiting
is activated, the person trying to reach you will hear a ringing tone
and not a busy signal. If you don't answer the second call within ten
seconds, you'll hear another "beep".
If you are disconnected
when you press the switch hook to take the second call, just hang up,
wait for the phone to ring, and lift the receiver.
You can deactivate
Call Waiting by pressing *70 and the person trying to reach you will hear
a busy signal. Call Waiting is automatically reactivated when you hang
up.
