When you subscribe to Preauthorized Payment, confirmation of your subscription appears on your next Télébec bill, under the total amount due. Until your subscription is confirmed, you must continue to pay your bill as usual.
You continue to receive your Télébec bill each month. The amount is debited directly from your bank account, or automatically charged to your credit card, 18 days after the billing date shown on your Télébec bill.
You must inform Télébec of any change in your personal contact information, banking arrangements or credit card information, by dialing 1 888 TÉLÉBEC (835-3232) or you can simply modify your contact information online as soon as possible.
If you subscribe to Preauthorized Payment by Direct Debit, you must ensure that there are sufficient funds in your bank account on the payment date. Payments may only be debited in Canadian dollars, from accounts with Canadian financial institutions.
You have certain rights and remedies if a debit fails to respect the agreement. For example, you are entitled to a refund of any debit that was not authorized or that is incompatible with the current PAD agreement. For more information about your rights and remedies, please contact your financial institution or visit www.cdnpay.ca.
