About Télébec > About Télébec

Québec's leading regional telecommunications company, Télébec and its subsidiaries provide a complete range of integrated and innovative telecommunications services to more than half the province. Télébec's 150,000 customers are located in 300 municipalities across Québec. This vast territory of 750,000 square kilometres is bounded to the north by the James Bay territory, to the south by Venise-en-Québec, near the U.S. border, to the west by Ville-Marie in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, and to the east by the Îles-de-la-Madeleine.

Combining leadership and innovation to perfect an already well-established network, Télébec has continued to grow since its creation in 1969, through a series of acquisitions, mergers and strategic integrations that have made it one of the largest telecommunications companies in Québec. A member of the Bell Aliant Regional Communications group, Télébec has, over the years, also become an important agent for the economic development of the communities it serves.

Mission

In 2001, Télébec adopted as its mission, to "connect our customers to the world and contribute to the development of our regions by offering competitive integrated telecommunications services." Recognized by the industry, as well as by the very communities and businesses that it serves, the fundamental value of this mission is further confirmed with every passing year.

To respond more effectively to the growing needs of its customers, Télébec has equipped its network with cutting-edge technologies. What's more, the diversified expertise that distinguishes it, acquired in and for the regions, today allows the company to supply high-quality services that focus on the specific needs of the customer.

The commitment and creativity of Télébec's employees, and those of its subsidiaries, have largely contributed to perfecting the company's service offering, which is as varied and complete as any offered in the large urban centers. Télébec is not merely carrying out its mission, it is realizing it with diligence and complete respect for the special character of its clientele.
