| Télébec
is dedicated to the development of the regions we serve through active
presence and steadfast support of our communities. Our role in economic
development is demonstrated by the donations to, and sponsorship of hundreds
of community activities in our territory.
We support United
Way and promote Health, Education, Sport and Culture, which are a vibrant
part of our northern communities. We also give particular attention to
socio-economic organizations that share in our corporate commitment to
the communities we serve, such as Chambers of Commerce and Economic Development
units.
DONATIONS - Health/Well-being
and Education
Whether we live in
a large urban centre or a smaller rural community, and regardless of age,
Health and Education are two key areas of concern to everyone. Télébec
employees live and work in the regions we serve and they share the same
concerns as our customers. As a company involved in its community and
as a responsible corporate citizen, we do more than listen to our customers,
we respond.
- Health/Well-being
Even though Télébec supports hospital foundations and certain organizations
in the Health field, the Company has selected United Way as its benefactor
of choice. Each year, Télébec and its employees embark on a corporate
campaign to raise funds for this worthwhile cause. Hence, the company
donates generously to United Way who supports a number of member agencies
in the health field.
- Education
In the area of education, Télébec supports a comprehensive bursary program
for the graduating students of secondary schools across the serving
territory. This program encourages excellence among today's youth who
will undoubtedly be the business leaders and professionals of tomorrow.
